Arlington Bluebell Walk
Since 1972 the Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail based at Bates Green Farm has developed into seven interesting walks over three working farms. A circular walk of 1100 metres or 2/3 a mile in Beaton's Wood has been made suitable for wheelchair users. This is where you see white anemones followed by the vistas of bluebells, established over centuries. On this walk there are seats for you to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this oak and hornbeam ancient wood. Along the walks there are signs illustrating the flora and fauna of the countryside for your information.

Fossils, Flags and Ancient Features on Beachy Head-A Short Course of Creative Study Walks
We’ll explore the geology and fossils of the South Downs on a walk to the beach at Cow Gap while considering the work of early fossil hunters Gideon and Mary Mantell. We’ll investigate two centuries of communications archaeology on the headland, while working out how to identify the physical structural remains on the ground, and we’ll take a walk into the dry valley by Bullock Down Farm to gain an understanding of thousands of years of downland farming. You’ll be invited to create your own writings on these themes as we explore the landscape.
